To the Version of Me I Lost

I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately.
The version of me that laughed easier… trusted quicker… believed without hesitation.
Life didn’t just change you—it broke you in places no one could see. And somewhere along the way, I stopped recognizing myself.
I miss how light you felt. I miss how sure you were.
But I need you to know something…
You weren’t lost—you were being refined.
The strength I carry now? You didn’t have to. The wisdom I walk in now? You didn’t need yet.
I’m not trying to go back to who I was. I’m learning to embrace who I’m becoming.
And maybe… just maybe…
This version of me is exactly who I was always meant to be.
